ENSC4250 - Environmental Health

This advanced course revolves around the concept of health and aims to provide students the tools to evaluate and quantify the impact of pollution and climate change on both the health of human and the environment. Students will build on their acquired knowledge (from ENSC3520) to develop advanced interdisciplinary methods to tackle emerging cases related to environmental health.

EESC3330 - Biogeochemistry

This course offers an in-depth exploration of the contemporary advancements in the biogeochemistry of diverse elements within terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Specifically, the focus of my instruction centers on marine biogeochemistry, where students will traverse the intricate pathways of dissolved and particulate matter cycling within the ocean. Emphasis will be placed on the processes of organic matter formation and decomposition. Subsequently, students will contextualize this knowledge within the broader framework of the marine carbon cycle, discerning its profound implications for global climate dynamics. Students will develop a profound understanding of the intricate interplay between marine biogeochemistry and the Earth's climate system.

EESC3300 - Oceanography

In this course, I guide students through the realm of chemical and biological oceanography, where they will delve into advanced interdisciplinary concepts. The course offers a unique opportunity to explore the intricate interconnections between the ocean and climate, spanning various time periods, including the field of paleoceanography. By investigating the chemical and biological processes shaping our oceans, students will gain a deeper understanding of the dynamic relationship between these vital ecosystems and the global climate system. Students will develop a holistic perspective on the complex interactions that have shaped our planet's history and continue to shape its future.

ENSC4907 - Field Study in environmental sciences
